Failing at Fat Loss? It’s not you. It’s your plan.

Failing at Fat Loss? It’s not you. It’s your plan.

Your alarm goes off early and it's chilly, still dark outside. You roll out of bed, and put on your workout clothes. It's January 6th and you’re 5 days into a shiny, new fitness plan. You’re sticking to a strict 1200 calorie per day diet. You’re working out every day. You aren’t eating any sugar, you’re not drinking any alcohol. You are 110% committed and this year's new year's resolution will be different. You are totally kicking butt at this whole fat loss thing!! Go YOU!

Except there’s one big problem. This is a completely unsustainable plan.

At some point, you’re going to want to have a glass of wine, or go out to dinner with your family, or celebrate your birthday and have a piece of cake for dessert. What happens then?

That day will come. You’ll wake up already stressing out about your big meeting with your boss, wondering if you’ll still be able to pick the kids up on time, and realize you definitely won’t be able to make it to the gym today. By the time you get dressed for work you’ll remember you forgot to measure out your 7 mini-meals into all those tiny containers and you have no idea what you'll be able to eat all day. Not to mention, there's barley any food in the house so you might have to order in tonight.

When that day comes and you can’t spend hours at the gym, you can’t resist your favorite takeout, and you can’t commit 100% of your energy and efforts to fat loss - don’t you want to know that you’ve invested your time and energy in a plan that teaches you how to deal with REAL LIFE?

You see, when we hit a wall after a major overhaul, we usually give up. We throw in the towel and decide “It was too hard.” And you know what? IT WAS.

Here’s the deal: That failure isn’t yours. The plan you followed failed you. Our bodies are complex and the fitness industry is broken. There are so many mixed messages about how to be healthy and all you're looking for is a user's guide. Why don't we come with a owner's manual?!

The right fitness routine will give you just that. It will tell you that the fastest way to reach your goals isn't always the best way (or effective at all) because for a plan to work you have to be able to actually stick with it. You have to be able to actually execute it. Consistency is more important than any diet food, workout move, or protein shake. Consistency is the magic-maker.

If you choose a plan that forces you to push everything else in your life to the side in order to be healthy and fit, then you’re probably going to spend a lot of time NOT so healthy and NOT so fit. Because ain’t nobody got time for that! Every time you have to give up on your fitness routine or tell yourself you’ll eat better next week, you will continue to feel like a “failure” when you can’t make it work for you. That’s not fair! That's not on you. You followed a plan and that plan failed to deliver.

If you join the LEAN Life program, when that busy, stressful, "I can't worry about fat loss because I have a life" day comes you’ll be at ease knowing how to adjust your nutrition for your lifestyle. You’ll be able to shrug off the fact that you couldn’t make it to the gym, or even better, you'll be able to fit a workout in at home in 30 minutes or less. You’ll know exactly how to make sure you eat well and fuel your body properly for the daily demands you face -  regardless of whether you’re cooking in or dining out. You’ll know that hunger isn’t an emergency, and you can choose to eat foods that work for you no matter what the circumstances.

You shouldn’t have to give up your entire life to be healthy. That’s not how this works! Do you want to learn how to lose fat BETTER? Do you want to feel as great on week 5 as you do on day 5? How amazing would it feel to continue to see progress, without having to stick to an unwieldy “insane” plan to get there.

You need to learn why certain workouts actually work, why some foods are healthier than others, and how to choose what's right for you on any given day, you will find that you can live your life, maintain your goals, and be “bikini ready” all year long.

PS: Do you geek out on the "science-y" stuff like I do? Have you heard of Carb Cycling but you're not sure where to start? Are you spending hours at the gym and still waiting to see results?
